Hoofbeats magazine celebrates 45 years

Celebrating 45 Years

This latest issue marks a milestone as it was 45 years ago that Hoofbeats was started! We reflect on the evolution of the magazine and pay tribute to co-founder Robert Hannan.
At this time of the year you expect it to rain, it is winter after all, however the shorter days and wet, muddy conditions can present a few challenges when managing horses, and keeping motivated with riding and training and completing daily chores on cold dark mornings and evenings. If you find yourself in this scenario be sure to check out the suggestions for working with your horse when the conditions are not that great.
With many of our favourite equestrian products available from small businesses we asked three equestrian entrepreneurs to share their stories on just how difficult it is to run your own equestrian business, while equine lawyer Emily Purvis highlights her business start up checklist to help set your new equestrian endeavour up for success.
Next month, like so many of you, we will be tuning in to the Paris Olympics. We wish the Australian riders and their horses the best of luck, we know they will do us proud and we will be cheering them on from Down Under.
