Under ideal Goldilocks conditions of not too hot or cold or wet the cross country attracted crowds eager to see this thrilling part of the equestrian sport of eventing.
The Horseland CCI 3* Long was first was Gemma Tinney on Diabalo advancing to the lead after a clear run on the testing cross country course
The Premier event of the day was the Mitsubishi CCI 5* Long where Hazel Shannon on Willingapark Clifford moved from second to first place after successfully contesting an initial 15 penalties for not going between the flags, giving her a clear and undertime run. This sets the combination up for a historic possible third win in Adelaide.
The last cross country section on the day was the RM Williams CCI 4* Short. Andrew Cooper on Riverbreeze moved up the ranks from seventh to first after a clear and under time round
